Vogue Dress V8647

Pattern Description:

This is a simple pullover dress with no zipper or button closures. This is a very simple pattern, but because there are no closures, it needs to be loose enough to pull over your head.

Pattern Sizing:

Size 16-24. I made size 16.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yes, it did.

Were the instructions easy to follow?

They were very easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

I definitely made too big of a size. Also, I didn’t like how open the neckline was, since it sometimes shows my bra strap.

Fabric Used:

100% polyester

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

No, I would not sew this again. I prefer a more fitted dress, so I would like to make a sheath dress next with a back zipper.

  1. I think it’s really cute, Karen. I have a silk woven fabric that I bought at that sketchy fabric store on Sandy by Safeway (and 72nd? maybe) that looks soooo similar to your print. Where did you get the fabric?

  2. Sorry you did not like the dress but the pattern is great, you have styled it nicely and the dress looks good on you. 🙂

  3. Thanks Erin and Alianikoo. I got the fabric at Joann’s and Merrill picked it out. I think it’s the first time he’s ever picked out dress fabric for me! Definitely want to go to Mill End again soon! 🙂
